Britney Bales

Miss Britney began her dance training at the age of two at 5678 Dance. She has trained and performed in a variety of styles with a focus on ballet, pointe, contemporary, lyrical, tap, jazz, and modern dance techniques. As a member of the 5678 Dance competition team from 2011 to 2018, she’s attended numerous competitions at both the regional and national levels. Miss Britney graduated Suma Cum Laude with a B.A in dance as well as obtained a certificate for K-12 dance education from the University of Georgia in May of 2022. While at UGA, Miss Britney performed and choreographed for the Young Choreographer Series, participated in the faculty choreographed Spring Dance Concerts, and was a founding member of the Dance Repertory Project, a contemporary ballet company. She also trained with Terminus School of Modern Ballet for their 2020 Summer Intensive. Miss Britney currently teaches ballet, tap, and jazz to ages 3 to 12 and pre-pointe at 5678 Dance.

What do you get most excited about teaching at 5678 Dance?

The atmosphere is so positive!  I enjoy working with my mentors and seeing all my students faces whenever they accomplish something!

How long have you been dancing? Is there a memory that stands out?

I have been dancing for 21 years. My favorite dance memory is choreographing my senior thesis and watching it come to life on stage through my cast.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of dance?

I enjoy cooking, reading, and yoga.
