Spring Recital 2020 Updates
Dear 5678 Dancers & Parents,
We want to thank each and every one of you for getting creative with us through our SIXTH week of online dance classes! Thank you for your kind messages stating that we have helped keep your kids engaged. We hope to keep providing your family with much-needed fun, exercise, and self-expression! Our wonderful teachers have been working diligently to make sure our students know how much they are loved and supported during this time.
As we move into our final month of the school year and dance season, I want to keep you updated on our plans going forward. Though we will not be opening our physical studio at this time, we are continuing to follow state and local guidelines on how and when to proceed with re-opening a business such as ours. Health and safety are, of course, our number one priority.
Live & pre-recorded classes:
We will continue to hold classes virtually through the end of May. We ask that if you are able, we would appreciate your support in paying your full tuition. I will continue to work with any family who may need assistance with May’s tuition if you have been affected financially.
With so many unknowns and new information arriving daily (even hourly), we have decided to postpone our “Legendary” recital until the fall. This will replace our holiday show and will provide our students with an unforgettable performance opportunity! Usually our winter performance is for ballet students only, but this show will consist of ALL styles! *All returning families will receive a 10% discount on August & September tuition. We are, however, planning a fun virtual celebration on May 30th, so stay tuned!
We plan to use these same costumes for our fall show, so all costume payments will be considered a credit on your account and you will not have to pay for an additional costume. Per our studio and costume vendor policies, all costumes are non-refundable and the current situation does not change this. You do have the option to pick up your costume; please let us know and we will set up a time for you to come by the studio. Though most of our costumes were ordered in December/January, there are still some that have not yet arrived due to the closing of our vendors’ warehouses. We will be happy to let you know when they arrive.
We are working on a revised summer schedule that may allow for smaller groups to participate in classes at the studio. We will also be following guidelines from the state and CDC on how to accomplish this. Returning families will also receive a 15% discount on summer tuition! More information to follow.
Again, thank you for your spirit, your love of dance, and sharing your amazing kids with us. We so appreciate your support, understanding, and patience. We welcome any comments or concerns as we work together to provide positive dance opportunities for all of our students.
Love, the 5678 Dance Staff
